Ppjoy

I wanted to know if there was anyway to use ppjoy on a windows 7 home premium 64 bit computer. I had it fully working on the same windows 7 version but the hdd died and needed to be replaced. After windows was reinstalled i decided to reinstall the program in test mode but whenever i try to make a virtual joystick it fails to install the driver software.

Going into device manager and double clicking on Parallel Port Joystick device 1 device status says: 'Windows cannot apply all of the properties for this device. Asus echelon laser gaming mouse drivers download. Device properties may include information that describes the device's capabilities and settings (such as security settings for example). (Code 50) To fix this problem, you can try reinstalling this device.

However, it is recommended that you contact the hardware manufacturer for a new driver.' I cant think of what could possibly be diffrent about this install of windows 7 that it wont work. So far i have tried: uninstalling and reinstalling it running the installer in compatibility mode and as an administrator manually installing the driver software (comes up with a make sure the driver works for x64 systems). Hi Merrick, Thank you for posting your query in Microsoft Community Forums. From the issue description I understand that you have issues with using PPJoy - Parallel Port Joystick on Windows 7 computer.

I appreciate your efforts on this issue. I see that you have already tried possible troubleshooting steps on this issue. I would suggest you to contact device manufacturer for further assistance. Hope it helps. Keep us posted if you face any issues related to Windows in future. We will be glad to help you. Regards, Anil.

OS: Windows 7 x64 I think it's off to a very good start. I'm glad that someone is producing a virtual joystick driver to fill in for PPJoy as PPJoy has become rather long in the tooth, and its development has stagnated. PPJoy The joystick will install as if Windows were installing an external device. If given a choice, do not use Windows Update to find a driver, then follow the recommended choices for installation.
