I have set players to stand on the posts when defending a free kick, although I have just conceded a goal where a player took a direct free kick, around 20 yards out but because I had players stood on the posts, a player stood on the edge of the 6 yard box and flicked the ball in. Obviously I know that I told them to stand there, and when we're defending a free kick from the flanks I do want them stood there.
