Without even bothering to look up supposed proof that Windows 7 Gaming Edition is better than Windows 7 for gaming, I doubt it actually improves anything, or anything noticeable. Personally I actually like the Start Menu. It fits SO many more programs than the Windows 7 Start Menu. Windows 8.1 has an all around better kernel.
